FAQ
Short answers to common questions.
Do players need a mod?
No. The HUD is drawn with a resource pack and standard client features.
Can I show the player's FPS?
Not from a server. The FPS element shows -- unless another plugin supplies %player_fps%.
Is the minimap a real map?
By default it is a radar with a player marker, compass, waypoints and captions. If you assign a top-down image of your arena, it shows that image as a fixed, north-up map with the player marker moving across it. It does not render the live world.
Does the HUD fit every resolution?
Yes. Each element is pinned to its anchor by a shader in the resource pack, so it keeps its place on any resolution, aspect ratio and GUI scale without any setting on the player's side.
Can I use my existing server resource pack?
Yes. Turn off resource-pack.auto-apply, download the build and merge it into your pack. Do this again after each change to the HUD.
What happens if the AdvancedHUD service is down?
Servers keep showing the last deployed HUD for up to 72 hours on their last signed license response. New deployments wait until the service is back.
How do I move my license to a new server?
Deactivate it on the old server or reset activations in the dashboard, then activate it on the new one.
Does it affect server performance?
HUDs are composed off the server thread and sent only when something changed. Placeholder values are read on the server thread at the configured interval and cached.
